TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Minimum Course Number Requirements:

PARLiTALIA requires a minimum number of 4 students* (max. 8) to start any of the following courses:

Italian Group Courses, Cultural Programme, History of Art Seminars and Wine Tasting Classes..

* At the School's discretion, courses may take place with 3 people

 

Included in Fees

Italian Group Courses, Individual Courses and Weekend Crash Courses: Entry Test, arrangement of accommodation, teaching material, Final Certificate.

Cultural Programme: Afternoon cultural activities, itineraries and guided trips. Travel fares, entrance to museums and other places of interest  are included in the cost. 

History of Art Seminars: lectures and hand-outs included. 

Wine Tasting Classes: all inclusive.

 

Not Included in Fees  

Meals (unless specifically stated), accommodation, arrival and departure transfers, insurance, bank charges and other payment costs.

 

Course Starting Dates

Italian Group Courses, Cultural Programme, History of Art Seminars and Wine Tasting Classes  have fixed starting dates. Click on the link to view our course starting dates.

Individual Courses and Weekend Crash Courses are available all year round.

 

Enrolment

Students will be asked to complete an Enrolment Form. The School will send a provisional confirmation (by e-mail, fax or post) with details on how to pay the Deposit and the Registration Fee (50 Euro). The deposit is equivalent  to 35% of the tuition fee for the chosen course(s).  In the case of a bank transfer, proof (photocopy of bank receipt) should be sent to the School. An extra cost of 15 Euro will be applied to all payments made via the bank to cover bank charges.

Applicants have 3 weeks to pay their deposit.  Enrolment will be confirmed officially in writing when the deposit has been received by the School. 

 

Balance

The balance must be paid before the start of the course. This can be before your arrival or on your first day at the School.

 

How to pay

Payment can be made by International Bank Cheque   Paypal   • Bank transfer/wire. Details will be provided when the school receives your enrolment form.

 

Cancellations

Deposits are not refundable unless cancellation is received in writing two months prior the start of the course. The School will either issue a voucher for a future course or return 50% of the deposit paid.  If a cancellation is made after the course has started or the student decides  to shorten or not attend classes, the School will retain the entire tuition fee.

 

Course Changes

By PARLiTALIA: in the event of insufficient numbers for the Italian Group Courses, the School reserves the right to offer an Individual Course of equal value to the student (approximately ½ the number of lessons).

Should there be insufficient numbers for the Cultural Programme, History of Art Seminars and Wine Tasting Classes, students will be given the option to attend the courses paying a supplementary charge or they will be refunded in full.

By the student: If the student wishes to change from an Individual Course to a Group Course this must be notified at least 1 month before the start of the course. It is completely at the discretion of the School to accept requests to change from Group Courses to Individual courses.

 

Attendance

Failure to attend one or more lessons of any of the above group courses does not entitle the student to any refund or extra lessons. Individual Classes can be cancelled provided that 24-hour notice is given.

 

Public Holidays

There is no tuition on public holidays. If a student decides to attend a course during a week with a public holiday, students will recuperate tuition on a free afternoon and/or Saturday morning at the School's discretion.

 

Accommodation

PARLiTALIA can recommend and arrange accommodation for students enrolled in its courses. However payment and the terms and conditions of your stay (rent contract, damages, refunds etc.) must be decided between the student and the owner of the accommodation directly.

 

Liability

The School is not responsible or liable for damage or loss of property on the premises.

 

Insurance

Students are advised to take out personal and medical insurance in their country of origin.

 

Minimum Age

Students must be 18 years old or over to attend a course at PARLiTALIA.
