Our language programme is designed to encourage our students to use their Italian inside and outside the classroom, in practical and social situations and encompasses all aspects of Italian language learning with continuous monitoring of students' progress. When you enrol, we will ask you to complete our On-line Pre-Course Test to ascertain your language level. When you arrive, there is another short Entry Test, just to make sure we have placed you in the best class for your specific language requirements. Our courses, from Beginner to Intermediate 2 level, are designed to improve communication skills: speaking, pronunciation, listening comprehension, and also strengthen other important aspects of language learning: grammar, lexical development, reading and writing. We use a wide range of teaching materials: Italian grammar and language text books, tape recordings (telephone calls, broadcasts, conversations), newspaper and magazine articles, videos and DVDs, exctracts from novels etc. During a typical lesson you will read a text/listen to a tapescript. The teacher will introduce new vocabulary and approach a new grammatical concept, testing comprehension with oral and written exercises. Students will be asked to carry out activities in pairs or groups, such as role-plays and sketches. The last part of the lesson is dedicated to consolidating new language skills and resolving any specific difficulties. The main features of our Italian Language Group Courses are:
